Each Spirit Swing comes with a copy of the original poem, written by me, entitled "Spirit Swing" on a small laminated magnet, to remind that …"with love, there’s no fear”.
I have been creating these miniature clay swings for 20 plus years now! I originally considered them to be for the fairies, and for general garden décor. However, after experiencing some significant losses in my life, one day as I was gazing at one of my original ‘Swing Mobiles’, I had created so many moons ago. I started to watch it gently sway…I was grieving at the time. I took out my journal and started writing…thinking of all of those amazing people in my life that have passed away, and about how I always sense that they are still here, somehow within us, surrounded by our love. Since the writing of the poem in 2018 I have been creating these single swing mobiles as a homage to friends and families grieving the loss of a loved one. I have had many grateful responses stating how much it comforts and heals them. It is so hard to find the right words to say when someone is mourning. Why not let a one of a kind work of art speak for you, and help you, to help someone, find solace, perhaps some peace. This is my wish for these creations. If it helps someone to smile again, to recollect a joyful moment, to really sit with and remember a loved one’s smile, or recollect their laugh…then I have done my earthly duty as an artist.

Let their spirit swing on, In your light and your love, Let the gentle movement remind you that time goes on…Swing on sweet soul, missed loved one, so dear. Swing on and be free, for healing is near. Forever swing on sweet spirit, now here, Swing in my home, Remind me, with love there’s no fear.”
